California Auto Registration Services is a private registration service. It is not the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Official registration services are available from the DMV without our service fee.

A quote is an estimate or a lookup of the vehicle record. It does not register the vehicle, issue a sticker, or transfer a title. Filing happens only after you save the order and ask us to submit it.

You confirm that you are the registered owner, or that you are authorized to act for the owner, before a transaction is filed. Smog, insurance, liens, and unpaid citations can stop a transaction even after fees are shown.

Service fees are earned for the online handling of the request. DMV fees are passed through to the state.
